The Path to Becoming a Fitness Instructor

If you want to earn money and have fun at the same time, then being a fitness trainer might just be the job for you. It is not only good for your body, is also opens up doors for various opportunities. Fitness instruction is financially gratifying even as it requires a lot of sweating. More rewarding even is the fact that you gain friends out of the people you help to stay fit and healthy, a fulfillment you can boast of even to acquaintances with white-collar jobs. The fitness instructors job may just look like all sweat but there actually more to it.
Everybody would love a job that pays while having fun such as that of a fitness instructor. It is not a job that requires the regular application form and resume though. Many who thought so actually ended up never getting the job. One must know what steps must be taken to become a fitness instructor. Of course, these will take serious efforts but these should still be enjoyable for anyone who wishes for it.
To teach, one must first learn. Before becoming a fitness instructor, one must be in a fitness class himself in order to build a trainers physique and to learn the techniques of instruction. It is, therefore, important that one signs up for a fitness class that has a skilled instructor at the helm. Not only must he learn how to instruct, he must also study the fine points of adapting to diverse personalities and traits. Fitness instruction is people-oriented. Hence, one must overcome his introversion and become an instructor who is sensitive to his class.
Fitness instruction requires an adequate amount of scientific knowledge. For him to be persuasive, the potential fitness instructor should study basic human anatomy. Being able to clarify what good an exercise does to the human body will make his class strive harder in the workout. Another plus is a little knowledge in psychology. Both factors are valuable in informing and encouraging the fitness class to give importance to their workout, a major role the fitness instructors play.
Being trained in more than one discipline is a boon. If one is trained in more fitness branches, he has more chances of being hired. However, he is not required to learn all. He only needs to ascertain what drill or discipline is more comprehensive. He can get even more advantages if he gets himself certified in every field of fitness training he wishes to teach. Being certified for CPR application is also another plus point. CPR certification is now obligatory for fitness instructors by gyms who are reasonably concerned about the safety of their clients.
When the fitness instructor hopeful thinks he is all set to do the job, he can start applying at any good gym of his choice. If there no opening yet, he should ask the gym management to include him in their substitution list. They can always call him anytime their hired instructors are not available, an opportunity to prove his worth. These are only a few of the great things that you should learn about weight training diet .
How To Reduce The Probability Of A Panic Attack

Anxiety is a well known mood condition that occurs without a specific triggering stimulus. As such, it is distinguished from fear, which occurs in the presence of a perceived threat.
Another view is that anxiety is a “future-oriented mood state in which the sufferer is ready or prepared to attempt to cope with imminent negative events” suggesting that it is a distinction between present vs. future dangers that divides anxiety and fear.
It is characterized by an escalation of somatic reactions that prepare the organism to deal with the danger. Heart rate and blood pressure are increased, flow of blood to the major muscle groups is increased, sweating is increased, while immune and digestive system functions are inhibited (the fight or flight response).
Anxiety does not only consist of bodily symptoms. There are many emotional symptoms involved as well. Some of those include: “Feelings of apprehension or dread, trouble concentrating, feeling jumpy or tense, anticipating the worst, restlessness, irritability, watching (and waiting) for signs (and occurrences) or danger, and, feeling like your mind has gone blank.” There is also, “nightmares/bad dreams, obsessions about sensations, a ‘trapped in your mind’ feeling, deja vu, and feeling like everything is threatening.”
Although there are many techniques to stop panic attacks, the most successful ones are listed below and include discovering the method that best works for you for calming your body down.
Daily working out not only helps keep you in shape, but it also offers an outlet in which to let go a lot of your pent up stress and anxiety. Dedicating at least an hour a day to some form of exercise, whether it be walking around the block or cardio can do miracles for your tension and help to restore your calmness in the long run.
Discovering a relaxation technique that will calm your breathing and force you to settle down can be a key ingredient in controlling the worst part of a panic attack. Enrolling in a yoga class, which can demonstrate various breathing and meditation techniques can go a long way in preventing future attacks.
It can seem as if alcohol or other drugs serve to relax you, but in the long run they can make your anxiety worse and cause more problems than they are worth.
If none of these other steps work in controlling your panic symptoms, then you might want to talk with your doctor about medication alternatives. There are many different prescription drugs that can help reduce your anxiety while you learn new. While it is not good to become needy on this type of medication, if you need immediate help in calming yourself after an attack, this seems to be the wisest choice.
Are Dumbbell Curls Effective For Reducing Arm Fat?

Most fitness experts have a different opinion on the best exercises for reducing arm fat. Perhaps all these different opinions have you a little frustrated. I know I was frustrated at one point in time.
After all, if the experts are having a hard time reaching a consensus, how are you supposed to make a decision?
The good news is that I’ve already dealt with this issue. And I’m ready to share my findings after years and years of research.
Thus here is my critique of curls with palms forward for eliminating bingo wings:
1. Snap shot summary: This exercise mainly focuses on the outside portion of your biceps in your upper arm area. It also does a great job at working the biceps through its entire range of motion-few exercises do this effectively.
2. Technical overview: Find two dumbbells and grab them with your palms facing forward. Then tighten your abs with great force so that your back stays straight. Raise said dumbbells to slightly below shoulder level. Then lower them in a controlled manner.
3. High frequency mistakes: Jerking the weight up with momentum. Allowing the elbows to reach shoulder level. And not keeping the chest up and shoulder blades back.
4. Final word: If you’re serious about finally getting rid of that arm fat, you should make this exercise a staple. It’s a great movement for toning the biceps. Just make sure you pay close attention to your form and posture when going heavy.
Finding the best exercises for reducing bingo wings shouldn’t be like navigating a minefield. To make sure that you don’t fall into a minefield, ignore all the marketing spin offs. After all, if an exercise is ultra-flashy and seems too good to be true, then it probably is! Stick to the basics but do them with intensity. This is the secret to sexy arm success
Better Raw Food Health Through Juicing With The Breville Juice Fountain

Do you want to look after your health? Do you hear nourishment recommendations from doctors, physical fitness trainers, and diet books and eagerly implement the best tactics? Are you trying to find better methods to integrate fresh, organic and local raw fruit and veggies into your diet? Me, too! And I’m wondering if you can relate to the following story about my private experiences…
Although I haven’t ever had any major illness I believe that diet and exercise play a critical role in helping us maintain our vitality and increase our functional lifespan. Essentially, I put my money where my mouth was and began going out for 3 mile runs with my father back in 6th grade.
Since then, I have played sports in school and have always been active, kept my weight in line, and received a good health check from the doctor. In fact, I thought I was doing pretty darn well.
But I have just been reading a book called “The China Study” which is actually making me reconsider the “diet” portion of the equation and ponder whether I am on the right track.
According to the China Study, which is an excellent, readable research-based book referencing over seven hundred systematic studies, animal protein, including eggs, milk and animal protein isn’t the fix for good health and muscle-growth that we have all been taught. I was completely stunned to learn that skim milk isn’t a super-food when it comes to strong bones, teeth and muscles. In truth, the author is forced to conclude that - much to his discontent since he grew up on a dairy farm - a diet free from animal protein is truly optimal for augmenting our health and reducing the symptoms of aging.
The China Study book endorses a vegan diet based on unprocessed plant-based foods. You can’t be a “junk food vegan” filling up on oil and white flour and other processed foods. Plant based foods means things you can recognize, like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Many advocates to this philosophy take this approach a step further and focus on eating raw plant foods, forgoing foods like rice, barley, pasta, etc. These raw food advocates believe that we preserve and ingest the most nutrition in our foods when we don’t prepare them by cooking them.
One of the toughest issues to preparing and eating a lot of plants is that it can just plain take a very long time. Cutting, washing, etc. Is a laborious process. Particularly once you begin to look at incorporating vegetables like lettuce, spinach, kale, and celery - greens that are vital to our growth.
That’s where a powerful juicer can solve your issues. Making juice out of your fruits and vegetables with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite is a superb way to mix your vegetables and vegetables into a fresh, nutritious and tasty beverage that may make sure you get all the nourishment you need, even if you are on the go.
Consider tasty juice recipes like apple-cinnamon cider, carrot juice, or even your own version of V-8. Green smoothies made with bananas and spinach are a fave raw-food vegan classic - the fruit is inexpensive, the taste is great and it’s vitamin-packed!
If you have a regular blender (for making margaritas!), or perhaps a name-brand juicer like Jack LaLanne’s from TV, you can find that they do not hold up to regular juicing, they’re tough juicing, they are tough to use because they are under powered, or they just don’t clean-up well.
The Breville Juice Fountain Elite solves all these problems. It is German-engineered to be a top-of the line juicer for folks who make juice every day and need a quick-and-simple way to make their juice. In fact, you can produce an 8-oz tumbler of juice in under 5 seconds and because the juicer takes Enormous bits of apple, carrot and other hard fruits - you do not have to do much slicing. THe juicer even does a pleasant job with leafy or stringy products like lettuce and celery. Including veggies like this in your juice will really increase their nutritive value.
If you are prepared to make some changes in your diet to become healthier, more energetic, and maybe lengthen your lifespan - begin with including more fruits and vegetables. Like “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” recommends - Eat Food. Not Too Much. Mostly Plants.
Start your program for better health and nutrition with juicy juice from local organic produce made with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite.
Male Baldness And Discovery For A Baldness Cure
August 22, 2009 by Adrian Blankenship

Normally, the hair on a person’s head dies after five years. Everyday, the hair goes through a process of regeneration. This contributes to the normal hair loss of close to a 100 strands a day, as new hair follicles grow. Male Baldness on the other hand, results when hairs die and fail to regenerate.
Generally, the appearance of baldness takes time to develop. Depending on the age hair loss started, most don’t have hairloss that is evident until later. Typically those between the ages of 20 and 45 who experience hair loss have a 95% chance of developing male pattern baldness.
Millions of men will eventually develop this condition. Generally, there is a pattern in the way that a man starts losing their hair and continues to follow. This accounts for the term male pattern baldness.
Hair loss tends to first appear at the crown of the head and the temples. In some cases hair loss starts in other areas as well. Commonly the hair loss progresses until no hair remains at the top of the head and is the most common type of Male Baldness.
Many reasons contribute to mens hair loss. Some of the causes could be things such as nutrition, medication, chemotherapy, hormones, thyroid disease, chemical exposure, skin disease, or stress.
Often these reasons only account for a temporary loss of hair, however they have the potential for permanent hair loss as well. The hereditary condition is what causes hormones in the body to slow down and produce weaker, shorter hair.
There is a 50% increased risk for hair loss when one of the immediate family members has hair loss. This risk does not depend on what side hair loss come from. Hair loss is caused by hormones, which decrease production of hair follicles, while producing shorter and weaker ones. Over time, the production of hair follicles stops.
No baldness cure has been developed at this time. Early treatment, helps to intervene in the hair loss and will either stop or slow the process. Pattern baldness has continued to puzzle, due to the way it concentrates within only certain areas.
When you experience hair loss, the best thing to do is have the condition diagnosed. Dermatologist who are experienced can help in determining the proper course of hair loss treatment. Only in cases where you have suspected exposure should you consider a scalp biopsy or hair analysis, since often places will try to get money through unnecessary tests.
After proper diagnosis, you will have more of an idea which of the hair loss products are right for you. Many of the hair loss treatment products on the market today, do not offer anything more than a fictioness tale on how they discovered the baldness cure. This is the reason why men should not use product that are no approved by the FDA or at least recommended by The American Hair Loss Association.
Hair loss puts many men in a vulnerable position. Losing money to those marketing product filled with false promises, will not help to make things any easier. If you want to have the most success with treating your hair loss, then immediate hair loss treatment is the best method. One of the most effective and recommended hair loss products is the natural kind, as long as it is used at the time when hair loss begins. No longer does hair loss have to be something you are doomed to, since there are many ways to prevent or stop hair loss with todays products.

Much has been said about the nutritional benefits of the acai berry. With regard to this the most talked about feature of the acai berry is the antioxidant level, which is ten times more than that of blueberries. In contrast to this there are numerous other elements that are also found in acai berries and one of them is the vitamin.
Vitamins are also available in abundance in the acai berries. Out of all, acai berries are a store house of vitamin B and its complexes. Vitamin B1, B2 and B3 are found in exceptional quantities in these berries. Vitamin B1 is known for its tremendous energy source needed to keep the muscular system in proper working condition. Vitamin B2 has its importance for the eyes and the skin; where as Vitamin B3 is known to create energy from the carbohydrates consumed by the body.
Like wise it is vital for the overall health of the body like preventing of heart risks, reducing stress and depression and promoting healthy skin and shiny hair. In addition the acai berries also contain vitamins A, C and E. These vitamins are needed to strengthen the immune system of the body.
To upkeep the daily requirements of the vitamins by the body the acai juice and its supplements are a great help. Both in the powder form or the tablet form, the acai is sure to benefit the body. Whether or not, you are getting the pure acai is a major concern. While looking for supplements one must make sure that the ingredients mention the proportion of each element present.
At times the acai supplements are mixed with other ingredients like fruit juices, concentrates or sugar, but these not only bring the cost down but also the quality of acai. Hence it is important to purchase the known brands to achieve the maximum benefits of this wonder fruit.
Solid Protein is Good for Muscle Gain
August 22, 2009 by Dr. Dorothy Nevelestein

Protein powder can be an extremely effective tool in helping you build muscle mass, but it’s not a miracle worker. A scoop of most protein powders, for example, is about 20 grams of protein, that’s the same as a 3-ounce chicken breast. So it’s no miracle worker.
Dairy products as well as eggs, cottage cheese, soy and vegetable protein also contain good amounts of protein. Nevertheless, none of these sources compares in quality or ease of use like whey protein. Whey protein has the highest value in providing branched-chain amino acids, which result in building and retaining muscle tissue.
Research has shown that ingesting protein powder every day can boost immune system health, facilitate the healing of wounds after surgery or injury, and promote healthy skin - in addition to fostering muscle strength and development.
A human body needs daily protein because that is what muscles and tissues are built from, and there is no place where the body can store extra protein. The need for adequate protein in the human body is second only to the need for water.
Putting that protein right before bedtime, even after your dinner but before bedtime, you can actually minimize how much muscle breakdown you have during the night. You can use protein powder as a way to increase the protein at your breakfast.
Whey protein also plays a role as an antioxidant and helps support a health immune system. Most importantly, consistent whey protein intake coupled with exercise will result in consistent muscle building.
Protein powders can also be a combination of one or more ingredients.
These concentrated sources of protein are processed into the powdered form, to be reconstituted into liquid form as a protein shake, or mixed with fruit juice or milk. Additionally, protein powders can be sprinkled on cereal, stirred into soups or stews, and cooked into baked goods.
Protein powder is designed to be taken everyday as a dietary supplement. Even if you aren’t a bodybuilder, starting your day with a protein powder shake can provide nutritional benefits. While many nutritionists advise consuming protein throughout the day, a healthy boost of protein first thing in the morning can stabilize your blood sugar levels throughout the rest of the day.
Some Specifics on Herpes Labialis

Cold sores or herpes labialis is not as frightening as any other contagious disease but still it continues to horrify a vast number of people. Unlike other maladies, it has yet to register in the records as a cause of death. It is the very observable signs of infection in the face that terrify people though. With the wrong ideas spreading that it is solely a sexually transmitted disease, all the more do people abhor cold sores or herpes labialis since getting it may reflect on their alleged sexual receptiveness. The misinformation spreading around has impelled governments to promote awareness on the disease.
Herpes labialis is, in fact, a very common disease anywhere in the world. It has been generally called as cold sores because of the blisters that appear on the face, particularly the lips area. Herpes simplex virus 1, which is the cause of cold sores, can infect any person by mere facial skin-to-skin contact or hand to mouth contact with another who has it already.
When the virus is acquired, it can just be inert inside the persons body without any visible signs of its existence. Therefore, the carrier can just continue with his usual interaction with other persons physically. Unconscious that he is already has the virus; he can just promote the contagion of herpes labialis in his environment.
Until a herpes breakout takes place, the virus remains dormant in an infected persons nervous system. The breakout happens when the infected person is having low immune defenses. The virus becomes active if the carrier is physically weak or emotionally depressed. Simple colds, fever, or even psychological downturns can trigger the virus to mobilize and cause the breakout.
When the breakout occurs, blisters appear on the lips or on the skin surrounding the mouth area; hence it is also called oral herpes. The ugly blisters cause severe discomfort for the infected. Eating or even just moving the lips to talk is painful. The unsightliness of the blisters can also adversely affect the persons disposition. He would lessen his social interaction, as his self-esteem would plunge to lower levels.
A total cure for herpes labialis is yet to be found. Once the person is infected, he carries it throughout the rest of his life. Various drugs, however, have been manufactured to remedy the painful sensations related to it and to lessen the spread of the blisters. The treatments also include those utilizing herbal extracts as well as common household goods. For any cold sore sufferer, there is always a cold sore remedies information you can find online.
Boot Camp The Best Fitness Solution

We should all lose a bit of weight. That is if you are overweight. We should by now; all know that being overweight or obese is a health risk. It is the same like smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. The only difference is, is that it is believed that more people die of obesity related problems than there are people that die from smoking every year. That is a scary thought, which is why you want to lose weight if you are overweight. What is the best way of doing this? Well, the simple answer, join a Woodbury exercise boot camp.
It is a known fact that there are more over weight and obese people in the world than there are thin or fit people. What does this then mean? Does it mean that we are a lazy people? Or does it mean that we have become fat because there is something happening to our food? Well, the answer is - both of those things are true.
We have become a lazy world. Maybe we can justify that a bit. It is the highly process foods that can make people feel lazy, because they are packed with so much junk that they release the bad carbohydrates into our systems, and in turn you start craving more bad carbohydrates, which means that you will eat the wring foods.
So, it is a known fact that eating too much makes one fat, but what you should get too grips with is that eating too little can make you fat too. This is because when you starve your body, when you eventually eat; your body will take whatever you give it and store it as fat, for the rough times - just like a squirrel. This means that you are turning your body in a squirrel.
This will come into play if you starve yourself, which is not a good diet by the way. People who starve themselves are only breaking down their muscle, and that I not something you want to do. They are also just making themselves hungrier than they need to be. What is the golden rule? If you are hungry eat, but eat the right foods.
There are many ways to lose weight, we all know that, if you do not, just turn on your TV and wait for the infomercials to come on. Ok, the truth is that there is only one real way to lose weight; the things they are trying to sell on those infomercials are crap. Is you want to lose weight and do it quickly there are two things that you need to do. What are those things?
A word of caution to you all - do not believe a word they say. Most of the things they try to sell on those commercials are fake rubbish and just a way for someone to make money. If you really want to lose weight, join a gym, or better yet - join a cardio bootcamp.
Managing the Pain of Shingles
August 22, 2009 by Moses Wright
There are over a million cases of Herpes Zoster or Shingles every year in the United States. This virus is the result of previously having chickenpox. Its symptoms include a red rash that appears out of nowhere, eventually turning into painful blisters that leak a clear fluid.
Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. However, the difference is that this virus remains dormant in the body for many years until something weakens the immune system. Once the immune system is compromised, the virus becomes reactivated.
What weakens the immune system?
Prolonged stress, anti rejection medications, as well as HIV/AIDS and chemotherapy all can be an assault on the immune system causing the virus to come alive with a vengeance. The result is extreme pain and discomfort to the victim. It can start as a burning and tingling on the skin that appears to come out of nowhere for no reason. VZV travels along the nerve route or dermatome and shows up on one side of the body. This is one way that shingles is distinguished from Varicella (chickenpox).
The pain and discomfort from Herpes Zoster can be debilitating and must be managed with pain medications. In order for the pain medications to work, they must be taken within 72 hours of the first onset of symptoms. Unfortunately, the pain and discomfort can last up to six months and in some case become chronic, lasting for many years.
Dealing with the pain:
Discomfort due to herpes zoster can be debilitating, requiring pain medication and antivirals to manage the symptoms. In order for antivirals to have an effect, the drug should be taken within 72 hours of onset of the rash.
Managing with Medication:
Corticosteroids: These would include the drug Prednisone which would then be combined with acyclovir. These will decrease pain while at the same time reduce inflammation of the nerves. In addition, these two medications when put together have also shown to decrease residual nerve damage.
Analgesic: Mild to moderate pain is generally managed with over-the-counter pain medications while severe pain requires a stronger narcotic pain medication prescribed by a doctor.
Lotions such as calamine are effective when applied to the seeping blisters to combat pain, and capsaicin cream when the blisters have crusted over. Topical pain patches of lidocaine (Xylocaine) and nerve blocks have also been beneficial in easing the pain related to zoster outbreaks.
Eye Shingles or Herpes Zoster Keratitis is a severe complication of shingles. This condition is generally treated with antivirals and can lead to temporary or permanent vision loss. This condition requires immediate medical attention.
Postherpetic Neuralgia is another serious complication of the zoster virus. In this case, the victim experiences severe pain long after the blisters have healed. This pain can last six months or longer and requires the aid of topical skin applications, analgesics, antidepressants, and anticonvulsants in order to manage it.
Herpes zoster is mostly seen in people 60 years of age and older, although children and young adults get it as well. Having had a prior chickenpox infection makes you vulnerable for developing shingles. However, if you have never had chickenpox before and have never been vaccinated against it, avoid people who have an active shingles infection, or you could find yourself with your first case of chickenpox!
