Yoga And Relaxation - Using Tibetan Singing Bowls

In common language, relaxation means that we leave ourselves free of strain. Peaceful mind might suggest that the mind is not enduring worry or vigorous. In today’s style of life, this looks impossible. Isn’t it? These days, most of us believe to be enduring tension all through majority of the week and chill out merely on the weekends. This is recognized as the normal way of life. Is this the right way of existence? Is having a serene life all the time not our liberty? Let us regain it.

Appalling pressure -

Considering you pose a query at any person that what is the reason that he/she enduring worry for majority of the week, what response do you look ahead to get? I have a huge quantity of tasks to carry out, deadlines to complete, job to be done, arrange for the new project etc. Do you not believe that something similar to this will be the reply?

Let us confer why a lot of us are worried majority of the time. At some instant in our existence, while we are chasing the plans we lose our custom of sitting back & thinking. We begin bestowing auto replies. If we are held up in a traffic congestion, our response is - either to be concerned about the job ahead, or blame the arrangement or any other negative deliberation. Not a lot of us assume - All correct. If the traffic is congested, let me chill out, pay attention to some good music, or think about some childhood recollections, remember good friends, let me make the finest use of the time to rest and benefit from livelihood. Not many of us respond in this way. We react in hassled way whenever stumble upon any similar position. This practice is taking a big effect on our quality of existence.

Anxiety - A mode of living.

We have taken strain as a method of livelihood. Not many of us deliberate why deeming to work at such a chaotic velocity and if eventually, were going to leave this world with a lot of incomplete tasks, why not at least work in a comfortable manner? whats the use of running so much , if we eradicate all the pleasure. In the look out of a improved future, we eradicate the current. Is it not?

Tensed work condition, stressed family life, no time to just wander around doing nothing but gaze at the nature…Why? Its as if we wish to realize most in the smallest probable time and thus have no time to loosen up Operating non-stop for the entire of the week is a method of livelihood for a huge majority. The increase in cardiac attacks, dejection etc, are all the results of this hassled livelihood. When we get tensed, we look around for the latest stress busters, latest therapies, etc. to counter the stress.

And then by the time the week gets over, we again go out somewhere to relax. Certain times holidays also enervate you, do they not?

Why not lead a hassle-free life all through the week? Why not work in a stress-free frame of mind? Why get worried? Mulling over our own life is very important if we wish to salvage our freedom to survive calmly. Will it help, if we bring a few stunning pictures of nature on our computers? Will it be helpful, if we take time to look at a butterfly flying on our screens? The exquisiteness of a colorful flower. Can it make us little stress-free? If your reply is yes, download screen-savers and find time to gaze at them whenever you find time while working. Look at them, marvel at the splendor of nature, mull over their perfection and simply calm down.

The Real Secrets Of Telepathy

June 25, 2009 by Paul White

Telepathy means ‘feelings over a distance’. Telepathy is the direct transmission of emotions or mental imagery from one person to another without using words, sight, hearing, touching, tasting, or smelling.

When you are thinking of speaking on another plane, you could be speaking telepathically. It is highly known amongst those involved in animal husbandry, that many species have some form of telepathic behavior. Whether it be insects that are communal to the dolphins who use a more obvious form of telepathy called sonar, the fact is that telepathy is real for many critters.

Some anthropologists are also fully convinced that there are some primitive tribes who today can still use the power of telepathy to communicate with one another.

There are many common cases of telepathy, though it is still considered by some to just be witch craft or that telepathy does not exist at all. While the reality is that one can learn this ability as one learns other aspects of human life such as writing and talking to one another in a way that is comprehensible. If we have problems with these tasks, we do not say they do not exist because we can not learn them, we just adapt our learning to circumvent the block or problem that causes the learning disability.

One of the abilities it is thought we had as humans long ago was telepathy, but that has evolved out of our consciousness. It is felt that this sixth sense was as normal as the other senses.

Telepathy is in fact linked with the ’sixth sense’, sometimes referred to also as the ‘third eye’. These two things are not exactly the same thing, but telepathic powers come from that same second nature of human beings and animals.

People all the time experience ‘gut feelings’ that turn out to be accurate guideposts, feel as if someone is looking at them from behind (which turns out often to be true), have intuitive perceptions about another person that largely turn out to be accurate, have a ’strange feeling’ that someone they haven’t been in touch with in a while is going to contact them or visit them and it happens, get the feeling that someone they love is in danger and it turns out to be true (this most commonly happens between mother and child, but it’s not limited to that), and so on. These are all aspects of telepathy.

As we have grown in our cultures, we have lost touch with our telepathic ancestors. Most of do not even recognize our own telepathy. The advent of modern day religions has effectively demonized telepathic powers to the point that the only association they have is with demonic control or with a tool of Satan. There are many new age religions that are becoming more in tune with telepathy however.

These religions among us have come to have such power over society that a great many people have been taught to put no faith in telepathy, but only in ‘the Messiah’ or ‘the Savior’ or ‘the Prophet’ rather than in their own natural abilities.

Religion first brought about the change in thoughts of telepaths as it was fearful for the early organized religious leaders. By eradicating any trace of this element of human nature, they force the trust onto religious icons instead. Of course this is not true with everyone, or we would not even know that telepathy is a genuine talent.

Scientists have a basic need to be able to explain any event. Because of the elusive nature of telepathy, they do not believe it exists even though many people have had these experiences in their lives. A lot of testing has been done on known telepaths but still the scientific community as a whole has discounted these revelations. They assume there is some type of hoax involved as some of these tests have not been in controlled situations.

Scientists do however agree that we do have a certain instinctual nature as do all creatures in nature. There is a bias when it comes to telepathy however. Since most scientists do not nor will they allow themselves to try and learn to tap into their base telepathic nature, there is no reason for them to change their stance on the subject.

Could it be jealousy on the part of those scientists who cannot exercise their own telepathic abilities so don’t want anyone to have them? And could it at other times be labeling a phenomenon as being the more familiar ‘instinctive-ness response’ when really it was telepathic in nature?

As to why humanity began losing touch with telepathy at all, perhaps it’s as simple as the Tower of Babylon story–perhaps the languages that were confused by God or the gods were not just those of speech but also the language of telepathy.

Experiencing Lucid Dreaming

June 24, 2009 by Trilochan Bhattacharya
Filed under Yoga

Lucid Dreaming and Conscious Dreaming are one in the same. It is the awareness that you are in fact dreaming. In other words you are aware that what you are experiencing is occurring in a dream, while you are having the dream. Lucid dreaming allows you a particular amount of control that you do not have while dreaming normally.

Lucid dreaming is having the power to control the direction of your dream which is an element of your metaphysical existence. You will notice that all the limitations of reality seem to swiftly cease to exist.

But is it as simple as it looks like? Can everyone experience lucid dreaming and bring to life what otherwise seems difficult or impossible in this reality?

You can easily practice lucid dreaming. Many studies prove that you have the ability to do this, if you commit yourself to learning how to harness this powerful medium while expressing your inner desires.

Foremost, you must be absolutely clear about your objective in trying to master the art of lucid dreaming. Do you just want to have your own private playground in the form of lucid dreams, or there is some specific reason for developing this skill? Whatever may be the reason, it should be crystal clear in your mind.

The next step is to learn the techniques of reaching the mental state where lucid dreaming is possible. You’ll have to begin learning dream recall, which is simply remembering your dreams. To begin lucid dreaming, you need to first be able to recall every detail of the dreams that you have.

This isn’t going to happen overnight (if you’ll forgive the pun). Many find it helpful to keep a dream recall register, which is a sort of dream diary. Here you’ll write down each detail of your dreams which you can remember. Do this each day. You’ll find it easier the more you practice. Also, start trying to become aware of your dreaming, to get your mind trained to be alert in your dreams.

Many people have found that hypnosis can drastically reduce the time needed to prepare your subconscious mind to experience lucid dreaming. Often just one of two hypnosis sessions will allow you to consistently remember all of your dreams. Once this occurs your mind is then conditioned for lucid dreaming.

You will find at first that you sometimes will awake suddenly during lucid dreams. This is normal. Just recall the events of your dream as you try to fall back asleep and attempt to reenter the dream, steering in the direction that you want it go.

Another good way of inducing lucid dreams is to wake a few hours earlier than usual, then go back to sleep. The dreams you will have in these few hours are the easiest to make into lucid dreams. You may even find yourself unsure whether you have been sleeping or just thinking to yourself as you lay in bed. Just set your alarm for a few hours early, wake and reset the alarm and then go back to sleep and you will be more likely to have lucid dreams.

You can easily set an alarm to go off a couple of hours before your scheduled wake-up time. And when the alarm sounds, just wake-up, switch it off, and go to sleep in order to enjoy lucid dreams. In this regard, it’s extremely useful to keep track of your sleeping patterns so as to discover the best time to have lucid dreams.

Do you know you can overcome such sleeping disorders as insomnia by learning to lucid dream? If you are one who struggles with getting your sleep during normal sleeping hours, simply tell your mind that sleeping equals lucid dreaming. All those bothersome thoughts that keep you from going to sleep will be taken care of by your mind.

In the past it was it took quite a while to learn how to lucid dream, however with the dawning of new sound technologies it is now much easier than ever before for anyone to enjoy the experience of lucid dreaming.

One of the quickest and most efficient means of learning how to lucid dream is by listening to binaural audios.

Binaural audio involves listening to two slightly different frequencies in each ear. This synchronizes brain waves to the state where lucid dreaming is most likely to occur and at the same time causes deep relaxation.

Before this technology was available the only sure way to be able to lucid dream to order was by the way of meditation techniques which often took years to learn and the perseverance and determination required was too much of a struggle for most people.

By listening to binaural sound waves, particular when combined with hypnosis to prepare the subconscious mind, it is possible for you to experience lucid dreaming very soon after your first attempt.

A Small Guide To Yoga Retreats And Yoga Holidays

June 24, 2009 by Rachel Hansen-Winther

You’ve been to some yoga classes and possibly also have done some workshops, and now you want to get even more serious about your yoga practice. The decision is made, for your next vacation, you are going away on a yoga course. Here are some answers to a few questions you might ask yourself.

Yoga retreat or yoga holiday?

While the distinction between yoga holidays and yoga retreats is not always plain, at times, even the organizers have not thought enough about how to correctly name their course), there is quite a dissimilarity in terms of focal point and general feeling or mood.

Generally speaking, a yoga vacation is primarily an activity vacation. The time devoted daily to yoga usually won’t exceed four hours, in one, or maybe two daily classes, and you will have a lot of time for other activities or just to slow down and chill out.

The site should reflect this, with a beach or other noteworthy attractions close at hand.

The mood is often calm, and it is usually a immense to bump into other like-minded people. On a retreat, in contrast, the yoga agenda is likely to be more intense, possibly including some meditation, times of silence, etc.

The major focus is no longer to enjoy yourself on holiday, but to deepen your yoga practice. Again, the choice of location should reflect this, with a quiet, possibly remote location. Retreats should be fully residential, the food vegetarian, and meal times cautiously thought out to fit well within the daily yoga practice. You will find more ‘hard core’ yogis and yoginis on retreats, and the overall feeling can be quite serious, with much less ‘free’ time.

Unless you are quite sure that yoga is your thing, and want to move your practice to the next level, a yoga leave rather than a yoga retreat may be the best option for your first time doing yoga away from home.

Go alone, or bring a friend?

Going alone is not a problem. Actually, the vast majority of people going on yoga course go alone. The problem to going alone is that you might have to share a room with one or more total strangers, but at least, you will know that, like you, they have a keen interest in yoga, and great friendships are frequently formed on yoga trips.

If you decide not to go on your own, choose your companion(s) with care. A few yoga centres will welcome guests who don’t do yoga, but in most cases, and without doubt in the case of a retreat, yoga should be a shared interest with your prospective travel companion, so if you don’t want to go alone, a yoga buddy is a far better choice than your new boyfriend (unless, of course, you met him on a yoga weekend!)

Where and when to go?

The yoga trip market is now becoming increasingly competitive, and main stream travel agents are moving in, sometimes with disastrous results. Unlike yoga teachers and dedicated venues, they do not always understand the particular requirements of what is still very much a niche market.

Complaints about such new comers to the yoga holiday market, who often have operated successfully in other branches of the tourist trade such as the organization of seminars or other types of package holidays, are their lack of understanding of the specificity of the yoga market, particularly in relation to diet (vegetarian and vegan options are not always available) and the unsuitability of the venues chosen, which are often large, soulless resorts, sometimes shared with a crowd of rowdy drunks (as happened to me in Goa a few years ago).

All this is not very conducive to peace of mind, so it is best to avoid large operators and stick with small, dedicated venues. There are a lot of them to choose from all over the world, and new ones are sprouting up everywhere so there’s a large choice of destinations at any time of the year!

Sun destinations such as Greece, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Italy, and the south of France tend to be most popular in the European summer while in the winter; India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Mexico and the Caribbean tend to be favorites. There are also a number of other locations which don’t emphasize the ’sun’ part including Scotland, various parts of England, Ireland, Finland, Canada, Austria to name just a few.

See for example the Yoga Centres listing of the Yogaholidays.net site. Even thought they might not be right up on the beach, these venues are chosen for their quietness and are far more suited to the practice of yoga than large tourist resorts.

What style, what teacher?

Perhaps more important than the location is the teacher and the style of yoga. Remember you will be stuck with your choice for the duration of the course, so a bit of thinking may be in order.

The best, of course, is to choose a teacher you have already studied with, perhaps in the context of weekly classes or a short workshop. Second best, is to get an opinion from someone who has been on a holiday/retreat with a particular teacher before. If this is not possible, you might find some useful information on the Internet, as most established teachers now have websites.

This should at least give you an idea of who they are and of whether their style of teaching (and style of yoga) will suit you. If nothing else, don’t be afraid to ask the teacher such questions as who they studied with, how long they have been practicing and how long they have been teaching yoga. Try to ring rather than email, as you’ll get a far better idea over the phone.

Tell the teacher about your yoga experience, level of fitness and your expectation for the retreat so they can advise you properly on suitability. Usually they don’t want to be stuck with the wrong student any more that you want to be stuck with the wrong teacher, so they will advise you honestly. It is also recommended to try the style of yoga that will be taught as part of the holiday/retreat by taking a few classes in your area, just to be sure that it will suit you, before booking.

What to bring?

Check whether you’ll need a yoga mat (if you have your own, it best to bring it anyway). Bring some reading, yogic or not, and don’t forget your practice clothes!

Have a great retreat!

The colors feng shui utilizes are the same as in the spectrum we learned when it comes to in school, but in addition, theyre classified as stated by the yin-yang alternation principle.

Accordingly, light, chi or life strength become synonyms in the complex paradigm of the universe. colors have symbolisms that differ from one culture to another, and usage gives them the power written in tradition or habit, but mutual significances do subsist and theyre not aleatory. feng shui combines and interprets these colors as stated by the respective distinct elements in one’s life. Whichever use you can find for colors, feng shui assists you maximize the positive effects of the surroundings on your life. heres the symbolisms of colors feng shui and western traditions rely on.

The answer to this question is simple and deep whether or not we think when it comes to the very essence of a color: they comprise light to a higher or lower degree dependent upon the nature of the object they pertain to. Chinese traditions give alike interpretation: red is the symbol of marriage and the birth of sons.

But its similarly denotes energy at its climax point right before the decline. thence, red corresponds to the factor fire and to the cardinal point south. Other colors feng shui relies on have the same complexity of interpretation. Personal taste does stay a subjective but powerful criterium for the selection of one ornamental style or another, and the same contains unfeigned for the color choice, but with the mention that a good deal of guidelines are essential.

Chakra Balancing Tips

Understanding Chakra Balancing - Modern science has done its best to obliterate from the minds of people the existence and importance of spiritual being within the physical being.

The Hindus, on the other hand, believe that spiritual healing is important even amidst the growth of technology and science.

The body itself actually consists of seven primary and literally thousands of secondary chakras. “Chakra” is Sanskrit for “wheel of light,” and according to this belief, these chakras vibrate and rotate without stopping when the human body is healthy.

However, if the chakras become unbalanced, this means that there will also be an imbalance in the overall health and performance of the body. This means that Chakra Balancing is necessary to be healthy in mind, soul and body.

Chakras are called Entrance Gates of the Aura which includes and presents life-force energy through central points. Located along the central line of the body the seven primary Chakras go from the bases of the spine to the top of the head. They transmit energy to the universe, nature and other people as well as communicate energy from those same bodies.

Distortion in Chakras

There can be a blockage in one or more of the Chakras causing energy to flow improperly resulting in an imbalance ultimately causing problems that manifest in the physical world.

When the Chakras are functioning harmoniously, there can be a number of reasons why they distort: ill health, unhealthy eating patterns, stress, toxicity exposure, lack of exercise, shutdown of emotion and expression, a breakdown between perceived truths and what is taking place, traumas from childhood, emotional injuries, and cultural conditions.

The Key to Health and Happiness Is Truly Found in Chakra Healing

It is a very widely held but utopian belief that chakras always function completely in harmony. Therefore, humans have always tried to correct this erroneous belief and seek to strike a fine balance between the chakras. Chakra balancing loosely incorporates the idea of self-healing.

Our glandular processes, thoughts, physical ailments, body shape, and behavior can be controlled by the chakras very easily. By balancing the chakras, we ensure that these limitations work to give us healthy minds, souls and bodies.

Chakra balancing usually has the following positive effects:

* Happiness and the achievement of inner peace

* Individual strength and physical health

* Being in touch with one’s body and mind

* Contentment in sexuality without being overcome by lust

* Awareness of inner feelings at the ethereal level

* Having an increased capacity to express and attract love in your life

* Having increased maturity and spiritual growth

* Being able to attain spiritual healing through higher patterns of acceptance, awareness and consciousness

* Having a heart that is kind and affectionate

* Increased confidence without manic periods of overconfidence

* The realization of one’s true self and purpose in the universe.

What do you need to be successful with a chakra balance?

You can balance the chakras in many ways. You can use one or more of the following methods to achieve success when you balance your chakras.

* Healing Therapies, such as Reiki

* Practicing yoga (along with breathing exercises) and meditation

* Physical exercise

* Color/Light Therapy

* Gems and Crystals

*Utilization of hands and pendulums in balance

* Using aromatherapy

*Utilizing touch therapy

* Positive Thinking

* Using sound frequencies that are binaural

* Affirmations, using Hypnosis, etc.

Our bodies are comprised of energy, and in them, spent energy is disposed of and released by the bodily organs and then replenished with new energy supplies.

Chakra balancing ensures that this energy is gained and utilized by the body optimally, and all vital organs and body cells get their fair share of this energy.

When you’re optimized in this way, you have health, happiness and inner peace naturally. In balancing your chakras, you simply bring them back to their natural state of frequency and vibration.

How To Buy Cheap Yoga Mats Online

June 19, 2009 by Steve Estes

If you are reading this you probably already practice yoga so maybe you are looking for cheap yoga mats online. If not, here is a short description of yoga

The ancient Indian system of exercise known as yoga uses certain body postures and deep breathing to stretch your body, whether you are lying, sitting or even standing up.

It doesn’t matter if you are looking to purchase cheap yoga mats or the more expensive variety, it has to offer you comfort in order to make your practice that much more fruitful. Without being comfortable all the breathing and postures in the world won’t help you achieve your goals.

So what do you look for in a quality yoga mat? Well, it must first of all be very sturdy. After all, you don’t want to have to make this purchase every year. Its like my father always told me-buy the best and you’ll never be disappointed.

It should also offer you strength and durability. These, along with sturdiness are the three main qualities you must look for when choosing your own cheap yoga mats. Make certain it grips the floor well enough to keep you from sliding around when you are practicing your yoga routine.

It’s pretty easy for the yoga mat to cost in the neighborhood of 50 bucks for very high quality mats but you should easily be able to get away with only spending $10 to $40 for an appropriate mat. While you don’t want to break the bank, don’t skimp on your yoga mat if you don’t have to.

Available in many styles and colors, traditional yoga mats can be made of a variety of materials. Things such as jute, linen, and cotton have been used for centuries. In fact you often see yogis sitting on materials like tiger skins or white deer skins. However if you are serious in your practice you want to forgo these endangered species for a more modern approach.

When you are doing your own research on cheap yoga mats, look for materials that wont slip out from underneath you. You might look for something environmentally friendly and easily recyclable if it comes down to getting rid of it.

I like to get a yoga mat that is simple to wash as I tend to sweat a great deal when I practice Bikram yoga. You will find a number of offline and online locations for buying your mats, just look around before purchasing. Clearly the amount of dough you are going to shell out is up to you, just be sure to get the right model for you to insure your comfort.

How Knowing How To Astral Travel Will Enhance Your Life

June 18, 2009 by Rick J Griffiths

The last time you were having a dream where you were flying, you were experiencing what astral travel was like. Astral travel is the way the astral body moves about in the astral plane, and it does so by flying. You simply think about where it is you want to go and what it is you want and once your physical mind and body are asleep the subconscious mind and astral body are off to fulfill your desires.

It is important to know that astral travel is not the same thing as dreaming. Dreaming is a more scientific condition. It is essentially your minds way of dealing with the stresses of the day, playing them out in various ways as you dream. Regular dreaming can sometimes be remembered, and sometimes not, but there is a definite difference between that and astral travel.

Whenever you can vividly remember a dream, rest assured you were likely experiencing some form of astral projection. No matter what you intend to do with the information, it is a good idea to recall these dreams as best you can and put them down on paper in a journal. While one or two of these dreams will not make sense to you, there will be time when you can go through several of your recalled dreams and they will make complete sense.

Just like regular dreams help you work out the stresses of your life, astral travel dreams also have extreme benefits. The types of astral travel experiences you have will be unique to you, as will be the benefits. This is why it is important for you to keep track of them rather than try to compare them with someone elses.

The primary benefits of writing down your astral projection experiences stem from an expansion of your spirituality. Through astral projection, you will become more aware of your surroundings and the inner workings of your soul. Once you truly know yourself, you will have an overall sense of well-being and peace. And because astral projection causes us to use parts of our brains that are seldom used, it will make you a sharper person enhancing memory and mental awareness.

A third benefit to astral travel is that it can also increase your psychic abilities. Many people who practice astral travel report having an increased ability to sense spirits, use of telepathy and precognition.

Astral travel is a path to your inner strength. It enhances just about every other mental skill and ability you already have.
