A Private Jet can Make your Life Easier

Private jets make traveling so much easier for everyone and they really aren’t as expensive as a lot of people think that they are. You also don’t have to spend all of your time waiting at the airport for your flight. Commercial flights mean lots of security and waiting, private jets are so much better.
You also don’t have to watch your kids running around or anyone else’s for that matter because you can walk right on and off of the plane. Also, you wont have to go through all of the security that you would usually have to for commercial flights that can be a pain in the butt.
It is not only great for personal trips or family vacations; it is also great for businesses. You save time (and lets face it, in business, time is money) not having to get there early and you also skip stops and layovers. It is much more convenient (you don’t have to work around anyone else’s schedule but your own).
You can go online or through a travel agent to find a private jet to charter. You can either share it with someone else like a family or you can go alone which is nice too.
No matter the event, whether it is business or pleasure, chartering a private jet is much more convenient. You dont have to go through all of that security, taking off your shoes and going through several check points. You also dont have to arrive hours and hours early. You can just show up, relaxed and not stressed and then hop on the plane and go straight to your destination. It is easy and definitely worth it. I suggest you check out with your local travel agent or even search online for your next trip.

When taking a private jet you don’t only have to cut out all the security hassle, you can also be stress free when it comes to your kids. You get right on and off the plane so you don’t have to worry about them running around everywhere in an airport.

If you don’t know how to go about private jets or flights you can look online or through a local travel agent. It is much easier to plan than you would think too. Sometimes you can get the whole plane (this is good for a business) and then you just need to look for runway time and pilots. You can also share with another group or family and that way you would be able to split the cost.

Air Flights - How To Cope With Fear Of Flying When On Vacation
June 6, 2009 by Dorothy Yamich
The fear of flying is called Aviophobia, and millions of vacationers and business people that travel on commercial air flights including potential flyers worldwide who suffer from it, to a greater or lesser extent. Even though air travel is around thirty times safer than traveling by car, you rarely hear about people that have a fear of driving. Maybe the TV, radio, internet and print media contributes to this fear when they graphically cover commercial airline crashes and the subsequent large number of air passengers that are injured or die.
Fear of flying can be started by a number of concerns such as the fear of take off and landing, the fear of crashing, the fear of heights, the fear of falling, the fear of flying over water, the fear of flying at night, the feeling of losing control causing panic attacks, stormy weather, air turbulence, hijackers or terrorists, motion sickness, claustrophobia such as the fear of being sealed in the confined space of an airplane cabin or by being packed into the small confines of the aircraft with your fellow passengers, as well as other phobias.
Some of the other symptoms of the fear of flying can be mild nervousness to extreme anxiety and panic attacks, a shortness of breath and tightness in your chest, chest pains, clammy hands, headaches, as well as nausea and vomiting.
If you feel your fear of flying is severe, you may want to consider enrolling in an intensive treatment program. However, if think your fear of flying is not severe, there are some things you can do that may help remedy this problem.
First, try and book a seat over the airplane wings, preferably not a window seat, so you can not look down at the ground. When you sit over the wings you will also experience a much smoother flight.
If possible, leave your seat belt on as much as possible, so if any air turbulence suddenly occurs, you wont get jarred or bounced about as much.
Eat light and try to avoid eating or drinking any food or beverage that contains sugar, caffeine, or alcohol.
It will really help a lot if you try to stay positive and always think only positive thoughts.
Try to occupy your mind and calm your thoughts by listening to soft, soothing music on your I-Pod.
It usually helps to wear eye shades and try to sleep on the flight if you can.
You may feel a little less stressed if you can catch flights that take off at off-peak times as there are usually fewer airline passengers to contend with.
If you are contemplating taking prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs to calm yourself down on your flight, always consult first with your family doctor or pharmacist. Keep in mind that if you are already taking prescriptions for pre-existing conditions, any new medication may interact adversely with them. Even over-the-counter drugs can be dangerous.
I have a true story that may help you with this problem. A number of years ago a good friend of mine had a real problem with the fear of flying. He was really concerned about dying in a plane crash. A funny thing is that he had no problem driving all over the country, or taking a bus or train when he traveled on his holidays.
Fortunately he started employment selling ads for a local community newspaper near a busy international airport. As he drove around to sell advertising to the stores in the area, he constantly observed large commercial aircraft take off and land every couple minutes. He heard the deafening roar of airline engines day in and day out. Eventually he started losing his fear of flying.
He finally made a huge decision to vacation on the big island of Hawaii, which he had always longed to do. The only concern was that he had no choice but to fly. He then bought flight insurance in case the plane crashed. He wanted to be sure leave something for his mother and father if he did not come back.
Before boarding aircraft he took one sleeping pill and hoped it would keep him calm. He intentionally booked a window seat so he was able to see where he was going and what the earth and ocean looked like from the air.
When the flight attendant told all the passengers to fasten their seat belts, he cinched his belt up so tightly he thought that it would break. On the long flight to Hawaii he only removed his seat belt to go to the washroom. During the flight the only thing that really annoyed him was that his ears got plugged and hurt because of the changes in cabin pressure on the takeoff and landing. A helpful fellow passenger suggested that he should chew some gum and that seemed to solve the problem.
When he eventually landed in Hawaii he was so proud of himself! After all those wasted years of being hung up on that debilitating phobia, he finally had broken free. All it took was working near a large airport and watching as well as hearing the constant takeoffs and landings of these huge commercial airliners to reprogram his mind.
If you do have a fear of flying you must try and rid yourself of this debilitating, irrational fear. Your life will be changed forever when you allow yourself to soar with the eagles and fly anywhere in this wonderful world that your heart desires.

If you often fly for business reasons then you might be frustrated with the commercial airlines. This is particularly true if you need to make multiple short flights each day. Public airlines also become a hassle if your destination is not offered by the airline requiring you to fly to a nearby area and then secure transportation to to your final destination.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could avoid all of the hassle of public airlines and just have a private jet aircraft waiting for you at the airport? The fact is that it is easier than every to fly in a private jet. There are many flight companies that offer private jet aircraft rentals. You can simply hire a jet for the day and avoid the entire ordeal of flying on commercial airlines.
Private Jet Aircraft Provides the Ultimate in Convenience
Flying on a private jet aircraft offers many benefits over traditional flying. It is a much safer alternative and can prove to be very cost effective. The convenience of a private jet is perhaps the biggest draw for most people.
Most travelers are concerned with safety - especially in todays society. The private jet aircraft offers many safety advantages over traditional flight. Without so many other people on board you don’t have to worry about the constant threat of terrorism.
With so many other passengers on board there is always a greater risk, especially today when terrorism is a constant threat. In addition, if you have to check your baggage you put your belongings at risk and never know if they will make it to your destination.
Many business or corporate employees that fly often find that the cost can be high. However, if you are making multiple flights a day or simply flying shorter distances then a private jet aircraft can prove more cost effective. Now you can rent an aircraft at a flat rate or even pay by the hour.
Perhaps the biggest advantage to traveling on your own private jet aircraft is the convenience of it. Just think of all the time and energy spent waiting in line to check your baggage and then standing in line to go through security.
If you take advantage of a private jet aircraft then these inconveniences can be avoided. You will get to enjoy accessing your unique terminal through a private entrance and won’t have to deal with the time consuming public security check. Just think of the hours you would save if you could simply arrive at the airport and hop onto your private jet aircraft.

You have probably become aware of how much more difficult it is to travel on commercial airlines in recent years. Many people that fly frequently for business find public airlines to be very tedious. It is especially difficult if your destination isn’t one of the standard commercial flights. In this instance you might have to arrange for additional transportation just to get where you should have flown to in the first place.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could avoid all of the hassle of public airlines and just have a private jet aircraft waiting for you at the airport? Many people making lots of business flights cite safety as a primary concern. When you fly on public airlines you are putting not only yourself but your belongings at a greater risk.
The truth is that terrorism is very real threat that must be considered when using any public form of transportation. A private jet aircraft allows you to fly without worrying about many of the risks associated with air travel.
Perhaps what surprises people most about flying by private jet aircraft is that it can actually save them money. Now it is possible to hire a private jet at a fixed rate to make your flights. You can also opt for an hourly rate which is the sensible option for many professionals that make multiple flights a day for shorter distances.
The greatest boon of the private jet aircraft is the convenience it offers. There is no way around the time lost to commercial airlines. You are forced to stand in long lines to check your baggage and go through security. Even if you don’t fly economy class you are stuck waiting in the same lines.
This can all be avoided if you have your own jet waiting for you on the runway. You could drive up to your private terminal and hop aboard your private jet aircraft. It would be all warmed up and ready to go and you would be in the air in minutes. You wouldn’t have to deal with the public security check and would save hours of time every time you flew.

First Flight - How To Avoid Deep Vein Thrombosis When On Holiday
June 4, 2009 by Dorothy Yamich
Commercial air flights cause airline passengers blood to get thicker and slow down which can increase the possibility of blood clots, particularly in the lower extremities. And, the longer the flight, the greater the risk. Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, is caused by a blood clot forming in one of the legs. This is a medical emergency. If this dangerous clot breaks away, it may move to the lungs which then could be fatal.
A common misconception is that younger, physically fit athletes are less likely to develop deep vein thrombosis. Recent scientific research indicates that many people with a slower at rest blood flow, such as athletes, are actually more at risk than the general population. Having a history of swollen legs can also be a factor. Other people at risk are those that have, or have had, a serious medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, or cancer. Also, women that are pregnant, or on birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy, tend to be more prone to deep vein thrombosis. Obesity can also be a factor.
There are two sets of symptoms relating to deep vein thrombosis that you must be aware of. The first set of milder symptoms may start during your flight or in the following couple of days. These symptoms are swelling, redness, tenderness, or cramps in one of your lower legs. There also can be some swelling or bruising behind one of your knees. The more severe second set of symptoms usually appear two or more days after the blood clot has formed. They are shortness of breath, rapid or painful breathing, fainting, a fever, chest pain which may be accompanied by pain in a shoulder, and coughing up blood.
What can contribute to these dangerous symptoms?
Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, can occur in your lower legs anytime you are sitting in one position for a long time without moving. Research indicates that you are at three times the risk of developing this serious medical condition when you fly. When you drive, travel by bus or train, or even sit in your favorite easy chair at home you can also be at risk.
How can you, as an airline passenger, prevent this life-threatening condition from happening?
You can help prevent deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, from developing by increasing circulation in your legs. If you are predisposed to any of the above risks you may want to book an aisle seat to give you more room to move and allow you to get up and walk around anytime without disturbing the other passengers.
Some experts suggest you wear loose clothing and avoid wearing tightly fitting slacks and elastic support stockings or socks; move and exercise your legs frequently while sitting; change your sitting position often; not sitting with you legs crossed; walk up and down the aisle every half-hour or so, and drink a sports drink such as Gatorade so you do not become dehydrated.
It is very common for deep vein thrombosis to be misdiagnosed which can be fatal. If you develop any of the above mentioned symptoms you must seek medical help immediately. Inform the physician who is treating you that have just flown recently and you think that it is a blood clot. If the doctor doesnt think it is deep vein thrombosis, ask him or her to order an ultrasound of your leg to be sure. If you are experiencing chest problems insist that he do a simple and painless blood oxygen measurement on your finger. It takes only a few minutes and will prevent a serious misdiagnosis of your condition.
AirHealth.org, is an excellent, non-profit organization that is dedicated to your health when you travel on commercial airline flights. Theres a lot of valuable up to date information and research on their website concerning deep vein thrombosis that could save your life. They also have a free wallet-sized flyer that you can print off and take with you when you fly. The flyer is available in English, French, and Spanish.
